People who have high self-control can resist temptation, even when the temptation promises short-term gains. In the other hand, people with less self-control may be more likely to:
- Suffer depression
- Be aggressive
- Smoke or abuse alcohol or drugs &
- Make poor choices in what they eat.
Also, children who grow with higher self-control were less likely to have financial stress,vhealth issues and problems with the law as adults.
